ORVIUM - Decentralized Framework for Managing Lifecycle of Scientific Publications and Related Data

Token Orvium Publication Model

Manuscript
At the time of submission of manuscripts (early or new versions) available to the whole community and authors can store ORV tokens to encourage and challenge the community for peer review. The number of ORV tokens that are lurking for each review will be determined by the author.

Scientific Reviews
A reviewer may submit a review to the manuscript at any time. Through proper analysis and public exposure to results, Orvium allows public recognition of the work of reviewers and prizes in the form of an Orvium token.

Copyright and License
Orvium empowers authors full control over licenses and copyrights. If the paid licensing model is selected, the journal and / or reader pays the ORV token to access the content.

Research data
Authors can share data used in research. To that end the authors are empowered to select the licensing and copyright models that best suit their case. The freedom of this data license will make the market of new research data possible that can effectively help divide the cost or get rewards for the job, which serves as the basis for the economic benefits of others.

Autonomous journal is self-explanatory

Intelligent Contract Based Journals
Journals are managed as autonomous organizations that are decentralized by smart contracts. They are defined transparently by the contributors, who are risking the ORV tokens and accepting specific Journal Tokens.

Open and Transparent Management
Management rules are publicly available. Token journals empower contributors with decision capabilities using different voting and participation schemes.

Benefits Shared Among Contributors
Contributors receive revenue generated based on their contributions and rules set out in smart contracts. Operating costs associated with reviews, copyright agreements, and Orvium Licenses are covered by the owners' shares.
